Documentation
This section explains how to start playing on L2Instinct and how our web systems work.
1. Game client & connection
- Download the client files from the Downloads page.
- Extract the archive into a folder (for example:
C:\Games\L2Instinct). - Run the updater/launcher and let it verify/update the files.
- Click Play and log in with your account.
2. Account system
- Create an account from the Create Account page.
- Your login, email and password are stored securely in our login database.
- If you forget your password, use the recovery option (if available) or contact support.
3. Donations & coins
L2Instinct offers optional donations that reward you with in-game coins. These coins are used only inside the game and have no real-world value.
- Donations are processed via trusted payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
- Coins are delivered automatically when a donation is completed and verified.

4. Support
You can reach the staff via Discord, forum or other official channels announced on the website.
Server Rules
By playing on L2Instinct you agree to follow the rules below. The staff may warn, mute, jail, kick or ban accounts and characters that violate these rules.
1. General behaviour
- Respect other players and staff. No harassment, threats, hate speech or extreme toxicity.
- No advertising of other servers or illegal activities.
- No real money trading (RMT) of accounts, items or services.
2. Accounts & security
- You are responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your password.
- Staff will never ask for your password.
- Any action done from your account is considered your responsibility.
3. Third-party software
- Bots, scripts, packet editors, cheats or any software that gives unfair advantage are forbidden.
- Using modified game files or bypassing anti-cheat is not allowed.
- Cheating may lead to permanent ban without warning.
4. Exploits & bugs
- Do not abuse bugs, exploits or incorrect NPC/skill behaviour.
- If you find a bug you must report it to staff as soon as possible.
- Abuse of exploits may result in rollback, item deletion or bans.
5. Chat & community
- Keep global chat clean. Excessive spam, CAPS or offensive content is not allowed.
- No impersonation of staff or use of fake “GM” tags in names.
- No phishing links or malware distribution.
6. Donations
- Donations are voluntary and used to support server costs and development.
- Rewards are purely virtual and have no real-world value.

7. Staff decisions
- Staff decisions are final. We always try to be fair but may act quickly to protect the server.
- We may change these rules at any time; important changes will be announced.

Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
- Account data: login, email, hashed password.
- Game data: characters, inventory, logs, IP addresses used to connect.
- Website data: IP address, browser information, basic analytics.
- Donation data: transaction ID, amount, currency, status, method. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide, secure and improve the server and website.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and cheating.
- To process donations and deliver in-game rewards.
- To contact you about important security or account issues (rare).
3. Data storage & security
- Account data is stored in secured databases with restricted access.
- Passwords are stored using one-way hashing.
- We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no system is 100% secure.
4. Sharing of data
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We share minimal data with payment processors when you donate.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the server and its players.
5. Data retention & your rights
- We keep data as long as your account is active and as long as we operate the server.
- You may request email changes, account deletion or information about stored data (within reasonable limits).

1. Nature of the service
L2Instinct is a private Lineage II server, not affiliated with NCSoft or any official publisher. The server is provided “as is” for entertainment only.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering (valid email etc.).
- You are responsible for keeping your login and password secret.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that violate the Server Rules.
3. Virtual items & donations
- In-game items and coins have no real-world value.
- Donations are voluntary support for the server, not a purchase of goods.
- We may modify donation rewards, prices or shop content at any time.
4. Modifications & downtime
- We may update, reset or modify game data (including rollbacks/wipes) if needed.
- We do not guarantee any minimum uptime; maintenance or technical issues may cause downtime.
5. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for loss of data, items, progress or other damages arising from use of the server. You use the service at your own risk.
Refund Policy

1. Nature of donations
- All payments on our donate page are treated as donations to support the server.
- As a thank-you you may receive in-game coins/items; these have no real-world value.
2. General rule
In general, donations are non-refundable, especially after the coins/items have been delivered in-game.
3. Possible exceptions
- Duplicate payments or obvious technical errors.
- Wrong amount charged due to a clear system mistake.
- Fraudulent payment using a stolen card (after investigation by the payment provider).
In these cases we may also remove or adjust any coins/items obtained from the refunded donation.
4. Chargebacks
- Opening a chargeback without contacting us first may lead to suspension or ban of your account.
5. How to contact us
If you believe there was an error with your donation, contact us with:
- Date and time of payment
- Payment method and transaction ID
- Your account login and character name
We will review your request as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee that a refund will be granted.
